Two Testimonials for Universal Marquees providing Marquees for the Queen’s visit to the West Country

May 15, 2012

Short and sweet - below are 2 testimonials from representatives of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh for Their visit to the West Country -

“Your team’s service was excellent – what was particularly useful was to have the site visit in advance and then to have Greg and the team on site from 6.30am on the day of the Queens visit to lay the emergency carpeting. We have had streams of compliments about the event; including the measures that were taken to ensure that The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and our Mayor, who is in a wheelchair, could comfortably navigate the event despite the dreadful preceding weather. So our thanks to Linda, John and Greg for keeping up with the changing demands of the event and for Greg and his team with the changes that took place on site that week!” (Katy Menday – Thursday 3rd May 2012)

And letter sent which can be seen in the photo below -

“Please accept out very grateful thanks for your company’s excellent work on the 30th April and 2nd May on the occasion of the visit of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to the Yeovil Country Park. It was a unique occasion for all of us. The support we received from your staff was outstanding and a real credit to the company. We were faced with particularly difficult weather conditions, but, on the day, we pulled it off and managed to deliver an event no one will forget. Without doubt, your staff contributed to our overall success.” (Mike Best – Chairman of Council)

Review of Marquee Devon – Universal Marquees – from Buff Whiteley

May 9, 2012

Morning everybody,

Below is the testimonial from Buff Whiteley, the mother of the bride – Gemma.

Universal Marquees provided a marquee hire in Devon at Pamflete House on Saturday 31st March 2012. We provided a marquee to seat 80 people with dance floor, tables and chairs, double doors, heater, linings, lighting – the whole works!!

Have a look at what they had to say -

“We are at last feeling a little less exhausted after the wedding which was SUCH fun! The whole day was magical, Gemma smiled all day, it was all very relaxed, the marquee looked stunning with all her decorations, all in all a very special, memorable day. I have attached a piccy of the decorated marquee, not an official one which have not arrived yet, but this is pretty good, also one of Gemma before heading to the church, I am biased of course but she looked gorgeous and so, so happy!
Thank you for all your assistance with our enquiries and changing our minds over what we wanted.”

Thanks Buff. We thoroughly enjoyed provided your Devon marquees

John.

Thank you letter from the English Schools Cross-Country Organisation

March 22, 2012

Hello again,

Last weekend we put up over 15  marquees for the English Schools National Cross-country event at Ilton Airfield. This consisted of different sized marquees, differently dressed marquees – all needing to be of a high standard to suit the occasion. Below are the comments we got from that weekend:

Hi John,
It is now a couple of days since the national championships and amongst all the administration I still have to do is this very sincere ‘thank you’ for being part of this large, yet I felt intimate, and successful event.
Without your very specific efforts, John, the event could not have taken place. This is so often said but a large national event, with some 7000 on site, simply needs the undercover administration areas which your marquees provided.
Can I also state very firmly that your personnel, Greg in particular, were a superb group of ‘lads’. Easy to work and get along with.
One of the reasons behind SSAA hosting the championships was to give our present group of athletes every possible chance to do well at a nationals. They did not fail with a great many doing far better than we could hope for and we secured our group’s boys’ championship trophy.
I know Jane was immensely proud to make the final presentation to the Somerset team and I attach her ‘thank you’ to you.
Comprehensive results are on the SSAA website with 100’s of photos to follow.
I also intend to put on the website a ‘suppliers’ page. As a competition provider we use many companies and I think it only right and proper that you should receive recognition for your involvement. I envisage: company logo, link to website and telephone contact number.
Again many, many thanks
Brian
